Dr. T.Y. Steven Ip, M.D., F.A.C.S., has always been interested in caring for others, which is an integral part of his family background. He specializes in plastic surgery procedures, is dedicated to his patients, and has a distinguished resume. He has offices in Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, and New York City.

Dr. Ip received a Chancellor’s scholarship to attend UCLA, where he finished his pre-medical studies and graduated with an engineering degree. He spent many hours volunteering at the UCLA hospital and working in a research lab. This experience led him to follow a career in medicine.
After excelling in his undergraduate studies, Dr. Ip received an academic scholarship to the University of Texas, where he finished medical school and pursued his path toward surgery.
Dr. Ip’s surgical career began in the Metropolitan area of New York City. He spent five years training in general surgery at the renowned Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center and later served as chief resident in general surgery.
Passionate to further his surgical expertise, Dr. Ip specialized in aesthetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgery and spent three years at the prestigious Duke University, where he also served as chief resident. During his final year at Duke University, he presented his original research at the senior residents’ conference and received the “Best Aesthetic Paper for the Year 1999” award.
Dr. Ip is now an active member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is board certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Ip’s impressive before and after images have been displayed in national publications from Playboy to Glamour. He has also been featured in the media, including PEOPLE, OK Magazine, EXTRA, Entertainment Tonight, the New York Post, and the New York Times.
Associations and Memberships
Dr. Ip was the president of the Orange County Society of Plastic Surgeons and the vice-chairman of Plastic Surgery of Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach, California. He is also associated with Fountain Valley Hospital, Irvine Regional Medical Center, and Newport Beach Surgery Center. His memberships include the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, Orange County Medical Association, and Orange County Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Outside of medicine, he lives in Newport Coast and enjoys being an active member in his community and various charitable foundations. He also enjoys sports and is an avid runner, cyclist, surfer, tennis player, and basketball player.
